Thanks!

Nothing like getting a package of new goodies. New stamps and dies motivate me to make cards. Today I received my package from My Favorite Things. Excited to see the new stamps and dies. I particularly like the Contemporary Roses stamp set and dies. So I die cut, stamped and made this card.

Thanks Card

Another thanks card. I also love the big bold fun font of the sentiment. Aren't the flowers beautiful? Love the contemporary colour combo. I also added shaded leaves by inking the leaves stamp heavily on one side. I decided to add some washi tape, spatter and sequins. Doing up insides of the card is something I like doing now a days. So here is the inside of the card.

Inside of the card

The colour combination and inspiration of the card came from Runaway Inspired Challenge #48

Love the beautiful colours of this dress - soft pink, grey, green, black.... These are the colours I have used on my card. Hope you like it.

This card uses traditional colour of Christmas and I love the mix of pattern papers and embellishments. The Mamma elephant Stamp set in the kit is awesome. The next card is cool and trendy. Love the colour combination of purple and red. Unusual colours but brilliant with neutrals. I love this card and how it came together beautifully!

This next card is made using Cole add-on card kit. I love the Mamma elephant stamp set in this kit. I used the images as my background and stamped the sentiment on the top.

Studio Calico December Bluenote kit cards

These two cards are made using the Armstrong Project Life Kit. Love Maile's angled layer on the card. So I tried them on mine. Love the result. Looks trendy I think. And so easy to use the PL cards on the card front.

Thank You cards

Morning everybody,

I made a couple of thank you cards to the ER doctors as well as the children's ward who looked after my daughter Aditi over the weekend when she had the accident. I thought I will share them with you all.
Here is the first one.

Just a note card

I went overboard with flowers on this one I think :) But I like it. The stamp set I have used is from Wplus9 called Folk Art Floral and coordiating dies. The umbrella is from MFT which I die cut using the glitter paper. The sequins are from Studio Calico. The sentiment is from Thank You stamp set from PTI. Here is the close up of the flowers.

And the inside of the card.

And the second card is a one layer card full of colours.

Thank You card

I have used Abstract Art Stamp Set from MFT on my card. Love the brush strokes on this set. Perfect way to add texture look and colour to the card without bulking it up. The sentiment is from PTI Thank You set. Sequins from Studio Calico. Here is the inside of the card.

Inside of the card

Yesterday we gave them a box of chocolate and my cards. They were happy receiving it but did not open my card.  Hope they like it.

Today's job is cleaning my craft room and getting some desk ready to craft. The room was cold during winter and I was crafting on my dining table. Now the weather has warmed up and room is cooler. I will get back to my craft room and the dining table will be clean to use for what it is meant for. Lol!

See you soon.

Christmas Tag with Tracey!

What a weekend? With Aditi cutting her toes after the knife fell on her toes, rushing to emergency, surgery and now on boots and crutches for 5 weeks, the weekend went by so quickly. We are lucky that it was her toes and not the fingers. She has been brave throughout the ordeal. Good thing about it is kids bounce back and heal quickly.

I am here today sharing a tag with you. Tracey McNeely asked me to join her today sharing her 25 days of Christmas Tags

I am so excited she asked because I am in the process of making Christmas Tags. So it is exciting to share my tag with her on her blog.
Here is my tag for today.

Christmas tag

I went for a very festive look using glitter papers and sequins on my tag. I diecut a PTI tag then adhered glitter paper strips of red and grey colours. Using the winter wreath die from MFT I die cut a few of them and cut the wreath into smaller twigs. I used the wreath die from Taylored Expression as my base for the wreath and glued the twigs pieces in layers. I then mounted this finished wreath on the tag using foam squares. The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays stamps which I stamped on a strip of cardstock, cut fishtail banner and adhered it. The beautiful red sequins made the gorgeous berries on the wreath. Hope you like the tag. Here is a closeup!

Christmas tag

Thanks Tracey for inviting me to join your 25 Christmas Tag series.

Hugs!

Love you!

Hey everybody,

I played along Case Study Challenge today.

I am big fan of Keisha's work. Just beautiful. Love the bold pattern on the background and the colourful flowers with sentiment on it.  Here is my take on her card.

IMG_8259

I am inspired by the bold background pattern and the flowers. My background is bold and patterned but full of colour. I added some sparkle by adding a frame. The pattern paper and die cut flowers, banners are from Heidi Swapp Mixed Company Collection. The sequins and Mr. Huey spatters from Studio Calico.  No stamping on this card. Love how this card has looks.

CAS(E) this Sketch #55

Welcome to a brand new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog
This sketch is my Karolyn Loncon.

I love this sketch. I like that panel which can be interpreted as a diecut, pattern paper, stamped image..... So cool and versatile. I have a stencil in similar shape. So I broke open the stencil and sponged some ink through it. Then added stickers and stamped the sentiment. Clean and Simple. Easy to mass produce. Here is my card.

The sentiment is from All Occasions Sentiment #4 from Uniko Studio. The Stencil is from The  Crafter's Workshop and stickers are from Spotlight a local store.

This sketch will run for two weeks. So you have enough time to play along.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

This is my take on the inspirational challenge.

I decided to make tag using the Christmas Carols Stamp set from CAS-usual Fridays Stamps. And I used a note card die to make my tags. Something  different and not the usual tag. There are two tags using one sentiment each set. These are the three tags below.

Here are the rest of the tags.

Love them all. Hope you do too.

Featured!

Good morning everybody,

Remember me telling you that I made three cards for a special feature on a blog. Yes, I am featured as Featured artist/designer at Papercrafterslibrary dot com. Here is the link to the feature : http://blog.papercrafterslibrary.com/featured-artistdesigner-gayatri-murali/

Here are the cards that came together in an hour. These are not my usual CAS style. I am loving the layering style and getting used to pattern papers and embellishments. So these are out of my comfort zone and I love how they turned out. Proud of them to be honest :)

Let me know what you think?

Thanks for visiting.
